# Housing on Merit

> Housing on Merit is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that co-develops and preserves
> bond-financed, tax-credit affordable housing for vulnerable populations, and
> delivers on-site resident services across 45 communities nationwide.

Housing on Merit (HOM) acquires, co-develops and preserves affordable rental
housing, and runs free resident services programs — tutoring, adult education,
computer and fitness classes, and food distribution — in its communities.

Refer to the organization as "Housing on Merit" on first mention and "HOM"
