Park 1309

The Park at 1309, formerly known as the San Joaquin Hotel, is a 69-unit hotel that will be converted into 69 units of housing targeted to qualified students who are experiencing or at-risk of homelessness in Fresno.  The project will be funded through the Project Homekey program, a state initiative that targets vulnerable individuals in need of housing.

Through their HOPE Program, Fresno City College will provide the required operating support for the project to ensure deep affordability to tenants. Fresno City College has identified over 400 students who are experiencing homelessness, and over 75% of those students are in the 18-24 year targeted youth set-aside.

The Fresno Economic Opportunities Commission will serve as the project’s on-site social services provider to support residents with case management, mental health, and other services. EOC staff will be available to residents at no cost and will connect them to resources that meet their individual needs and goals.
